Who We Are

The Sandyville Church of Christ is a family of believers who meet regularly to worship God and encourage each other. We use the term "family" because each member of the Sandyville Church of Christ is a brother or sister in Christ. Our togetherness and love for each other is evident in all that we do, both in and outside of worship. We are by no means perfect people, but we strive to serve God to the best of our abilities.

Our membership consists of your neighbors and friends in the Sandyville area. We have folks of all different age groups and all walks of life.

We have no allegiance to any religious body except that of Christ's. We are not governed by any outside organization. Appealing to God's word, we are responsible for our own worship and work.We seek to worship God in the same manner as early New Testament churches. As followers of Christ we are committed to bringing His truth to the world.

It is our sincere hope that you would come and worship with us. We believe that you will find our practices consistent with the Bible and trust that you will find our church family a place where you are welcome and truly feel at home.

What We Believe

We believe there is one God, and Jesus Christ is His only son. We believe that Jesus Christ died as part of God's plan to save each one of us. We
believe that God has clearly communicated everything we must do to please Him through the Bible, and that every word is important. That means that every principle and command included in the Bible is a part of what we teach in our classes, in our preaching, and profess in our community.

Based on these beliefs, we thank God daily through prayer, and come together to worship him every week. We do our best to live like Jesus; doing good, following God's word, and living in peace with all men.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the "good news" that Jesus Christ, the son of God, lived a sinless life, died on the cross, and was raised from the dead so that we could have salvation from our sins. The Bible is God's inspired word, which outlines His plan of salvation for us.

1 Timothy 2:3-4 God desires all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.

John 1:12 We must receive Jesus as the authority of our life.

John 12:48 We must receive Jesus' words.

Acts 4:10-12 Salvation is in Jesus.

Romans 1:16 The gospel of Jesus Christ is the power from God for our salvation.

2 Thessalonians 1:8 We must obey the gospel of Jesus Christ to be saved.

Obedience to the gospel of Jesus Christ is:

John 3:16 We must believe in Jesus.

Luke 13:3 We must repent( have a change of mind which results in a change of action).

Romans 10:10 We must confess Jesus as the Christ before men.

Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38 We must be baptized for the remission of our sins.

Colossians 1:23; Hebrews 4:11 We must continue in the faith and be diligent to enter into God's eternal rest.
